Digby Haywood
Manager & Business Partner
Digby is one of the partners of Haywood Engineering Ltd as well as the lead engineer. Digby qualified in 2012 and has always had a keen interest and unquestionable talent in engineering. Digby has created a great reputation in the local area for himself and the business over the years with his attention to detail, adaptable hard working attitude and accommodating customer service

Before starting the business with Mark, he worked as a hunting guide so when he's not busy engineering, you'll find him out filling the freezer hunting, fishing and diving or cracking open a can of Double Brown!
Mark Haywood
Business Partner
Mark is also a business partner of Haywood Engineering Ltd. Mark is often our knowledge hub when it comes to the trades industry, team management and business development. He has strong family morals and believes carrying family values through our business significantly shapes outcomes with principles like integrity, trust, long-term vision, respect for employees as well as being customer focused.
If you don't find Mark at work or making connections for the business, he will be on the boat in Moeraki catching some fresh fish for the family or cheering on Waimate at the rugby - Up the Waimos!
Andrew
Engineer
Having joined the team in 2020, Andrew has a wealth of knowledge in engineering and his faultless attention to detail has earned himself an awesome reputation with our clients and team. Andrew completed his qualification in engineering in 2014 and has acquired some impressive skills throughout the years and we are beyond lucky to have him on our team. If you don't see Andrew working and singing away on the welder you can find him in the squash court!
Kieran
Engineer
A fitter and turner since '98, Kieran is the go to engineer for precision and accuracy when it comes to the perfect fit. Kieran joined the us at the start of 2024 and has bought with him a range of skills and knowledge from previous engineering positions working with helicopters and as a field technician to name a few. We are delighted to have Kieran on the team with his skilled workman and dry sense of humor making us laugh most days.
When Kieran isn't in the workshop, you'll find him working on his jet boat!
Jake
Apprentice Engineer
Jake started out with us for work experience where he earned himself a spot on the team - his skills, attention to detail and attitude towards work were too good to let pass!
Jake is currently completing his apprenticeship and continues to show eagerness to learn. With his fantastic workmanship and high standard in all his projects there is no doubt he will become an exceptional engineer.
If Jake isn't at the workshop or studying, he'll be out on a hunting mish somewhere with friends!
Becky
Accounts & Administration Manager
Becky is the administration and accounts manager who joined the team at the beginning of 2020. You may notice a pommy twang over the phone? Well she immigrated from the UK in 2019 where she met Digby at the local pub and the rest was history. She works part-time behind the scenes making sure invoices are sent, everyone gets paid, admin is done and clients and staff are happy.
If you don't find her in the office, she will be out on a farm somewhere working with her team of dogs or studying for her agricultural qualification.
